Occupational Health Technician – IN-HOUSE – Single Site
35 hour working week  
Birmingham

Greys Specialist Recruitment and Network Rail are working in partnership for their NEW in-house Occupational Health department. Their main goal is to focus on the immediate and long-term health of their employee’s; their health comes first. They want to empower the Occupational Health Technicians to change and improve people’s health. Working with Network Rail will give career progression and learning and development opportunities.  

Network Rail will have 22 Occupational Health Centres across the UK. All the OH Centres will be equipped with all necessary equipment you would expect in a modern-day service.  

Occupational Health Technicians will be single site.

Network Rail have planned a thorough induction programme which will include training, refreshers and updates.  

Occupational Health Technician 

Working as part of a national Occupational Health team, the Occupational Health Technician will be an integral part of a pro-active occupational health team. Network Rail want all of their team to focus on the employee’s health and wellbeing on a short and long-term basis. Building relationships with the employees, the managers and the wider business. There will opportunities to work with the team on UK wide projects, covering different topics.  

Day-to-day the Occupational Health Technician will do:  
-Pre-Employment Medicals  
-Fit to Work Medicals  
-Railway Medicals  
-Drug & Alcohol Testing  
-Build relationships with managers, employees and all parts of the business 
*NETWORK RAIL WORK ON QUALITY NOT QUANTITY 

The role will also include: 
-Visiting different departments of the business to see how people work 
-Being a team player within a UK wide team 
-Pro-active occupational health   
-Constantly learning about the rail industry
