Our client is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to continue to manage, develop and grow the defined area. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing the sales revenue of the territory, identifying and following up sales opportunities and influencing key stakeholders in their purchasing decisions. Excellent territory and account planning skills are key to managing a diverse range of customers. This role has an element of long term relationship building within a mature market. The successful candidate will enjoy the autonomy and diversity of the role which includes sales development and delivering of training courses, whilst working with a talented and driven team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Creation and management of new sales opportunities
  • Plan and prioritise sales activities and prospect activities to achieve the sales revenue target
  • Consultative sales approach to identify, broaden and maximise opportunity
  • Sales and support focus on broad product range, consumables and services
  • Ability to communicate product solutions effectively to customers
  • Organise the territory, develop, maintain and implement a yearly plan to achieve the goals of the territory
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Flexibility to travel daily throughout the area with overnight stays where required

Candidate Requirements

  • Experienced medical or healthcare sales professional / business development professional – (Minimum 4 years B2B field sales experience – private/public sector)
  • Knowledge of Human anatomy (e.g. Human biology or Sports science) would be advantageous
  • Degree qualification preferrable
  • Ability to quickly assimilate technical and medical concepts
  • Excellent problem solving/investigation skills
  • Experience in presenting to groups and decision makers
  • Clean driving license
  • Desirable- Healthcare industry experience.
