Business Development Manager

My client a well-established, quality driven manufacturing company based in Urmston and selling their products globally, are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team, selling across the UK and Europe.

 

Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Sales Executive to join their team and contribute to the continuous growth of our company. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing their commercial performance while fostering long-term partnerships with clients.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Utilise various platforms for sales (face-to-face, telephone, email, virtual) to generate leads and convert them into customers.
  • Conduct regular meetings with customers to understand their needs and desires.
  • Drive new business development to support company growth.
  • Participate in complex negotiations with management support.
  • Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets.
  • Maintain sales records and generate reports for effective data utilisation.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Oversee customer requests, from quote follow-ups to order processing.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with other departments for effective synergy.
  • Support projects as assigned by senior management.

 

Requirements:

 

  • 2+ years of sales experience with a track record of exceeding KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
  • B2B experience, preferably in a niche selling environment.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Initiative, drive, and enthusiasm.
  • Good planning, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics Business Central is desirable.
  • Technically minded with analytical and numerical skills.
  • Full driving license and flexibility to travel locally and internationally.
