Sponsorship Sales Executive

Our client is a leading organiser of events, specialising in conferences, summits, and workshops that bring together officials, policymakers, industry experts, and stakeholders to address key issues and drive positive change. We are currently seeking a talented and proactive Sponsorship Sales Executive to join their team and drive sponsorship revenue for their events.

Job Overview:

As a Sponsorship Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and securing sponsorship deals with private sector businesses and industry partners for specific events. You will play a critical role in developing sales strategies, nurturing relationships, and delivering value to sponsors while achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, pitch, and negotiate sponsorship agreements with private sector businesses and industry partners for events.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to maximise sponsorship revenue and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and prioritise potential sponsors based on their relevance to events and alignment with the target audience and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective sponsors through regular communication, networking, and personalised outreach.
  • Collaborate closely with the events team to tailor sponsorship packages to meet the needs and objectives of sponsors while ensuring alignment with event themes and agendas.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the value proposition of sponsoring events.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to sponsors throughout the sponsorship lifecycle, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, government initiatives, and public sector priorities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and sponsorship revenue, providing regular updates to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven track record of success in sponsorship sales or related field
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and build rapport with clients.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Basic Salary £28,000-£40,000 DOE
