Marketing Manager

Marketing Manager

Are you an experienced event marketer with a commercial mindset and a proven track record of driving visitor growth and ticket sales for large-scale exhibitions?

We're partnering with a market-leading events business to recruit an ambitious Marketing Manager to lead the marketing strategy across a portfolio of flagship exhibitions, including one of the UK's most established consumer events and one of the country's leading trade exhibitions.

Attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors, thousands of exhibitors and many of the biggest brands in their respective sectors, these are market-leading events with loyal audiences, national recognition and ambitious growth plans.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-profile marketing campaigns where success is measured by visitor growth, ticket sales, attendance and commercial performance.

The Opportunity

As Marketing Manager, you'll lead the planning, delivery and optimisation of integrated marketing campaigns designed to increase visitor numbers, maximise paid ticket sales and drive attendance across a portfolio of flagship exhibitions.

This is a commercially focused marketing role where you'll constantly evaluate how campaigns perform, identify opportunities to grow audiences and ensure the right visitors are attending each event. You'll use data and insight to improve visitor acquisition, registration quality, attendance rates, conversion and overall footfall, helping maximise the commercial success of every exhibition.

Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll influence marketing strategy while remaining hands-on in campaign execution across digital, CRM, PR, partnerships and live event delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns focused on increasing visitor registrations, attendance and paid ticket sales.
  • Drive commercially focused audience acquisition strategies that improve both the volume and quality of visitors attending each exhibition.
  • Monitor and optimise visitor registrations, attendance rates, ticket sales, conversion rates and onsite footfall, using campaign performance data to maximise ROI.
  • Lead CRM, email marketing and audience segmentation strategies to improve acquisition, engagement and retention.
  • Manage campaigns across paid digital, social media, website, PR, TV, radio, print and partnership channels.
  • Build relationships with sponsors, media partners, influencers, ambassadors and commercial stakeholders to extend audience reach.
  • Manage external agencies across creative, digital marketing, PR and media buying.
  • Oversee website content, SEO and digital assets, ensuring a seamless customer journey from first engagement through to event attendance.
  • Work closely with sales, operations and content teams to ensure marketing activity supports wider commercial objectives.
  • Lead onsite marketing delivery during live exhibitions and evaluate campaign success to continually improve future performance.

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded event marketer who understands that successful exhibition marketing is about much more than delivering campaigns. It's about attracting the right audiences, increasing attendance and driving measurable commercial growth.

You'll ideally have:

  • At least five years' experience in event marketing or a senior marketing role.
  • Experience delivering marketing campaigns that have successfully increased visitor numbers, attendance and ticket sales for exhibitions, live events or consumer events. Equivalent experience in audience acquisition or visitor marketing will also be considered.
  • A strong understanding of how visitor acquisition campaigns are measured, including registrations, attendance, conversion rates, paid ticket sales and overall event performance.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise across CRM, email marketing, paid media, social media and website management.
  • Experience managing PR activity, partnerships and external agencies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and continually optimise performance.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
  • A proactive, commercially focused approach with a genuine passion for growing audiences.

Marketing qualifications such as CIM or IDM would be advantageous but aren't essential.

What's On Offer?

You'll receive a competitive salary of up to £50,000, together with a performance-related bonus and the opportunity to work on a portfolio of nationally recognised exhibitions with ambitious growth plans.

You'll join a collaborative, high-performing business where marketing has a direct influence on commercial success and where your ideas, creativity and results will genuinely make a difference.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to market some of the UK's most recognised live events while playing a direct role in growing visitor numbers, increasing ticket sales and shaping the commercial success of flagship exhibitions.

If you're an event marketer who enjoys combining creativity with commercial thinking, and you thrive on delivering measurable results, we'd love to hear from you.
