Occupational Health Advisor

Location: Newton Aycliffe (minimum 3 days on-site)
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (minimum 3 days per week)
Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum, depending on experience

Occupational Health Advisor – Newton Aycliffe

Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join their established occupational health team based in Newton Aycliffe.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health professional looking to work within a varied role, delivering high-quality clinical services while supporting employee health, wellbeing and attendance. You'll manage your own caseload, work autonomously and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver an outstanding occupational health service.

The Role

As an Occupational Health Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a varied occupational health case management caseload, providing evidence-based advice to support employees and managers.
• Conducting fitness-for-work assessments and providing clear, practical occupational health recommendations.
• Delivering health surveillance programmes, vaccinations and phlebotomy.
• Supporting workplace wellbeing initiatives and health promotion events.
• Working collaboratively with the wider occupational health team to deliver a high-quality service.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and professional standards.

About You

Essential

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Occupational Health Degree or Diploma.
• At least two years' experience managing complex occupational health case management referrals.
• Proven experience working within an Occupational Health setting.
• Competent in delivering:
  • Case management
  • Health surveillance
  • Fitness-for-work medicals
  • Vaccinations
  • Phlebotomy
• Experience delivering workplace wellbeing and health promotion initiatives.
