Are you a passionate, autonomous Occupational Health Nurse Advisor looking for a role where you can truly make a clinical impact?
Greys are seeking a Qualified Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join a client in Edinburgh. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will take clinical ownership of the occupational health provision, driving a proactive, preventative wellbeing culture across a diverse organisation.
What You Will Do
As an occupational health specialist, you will have the professional autonomy to make key clinical decisions daily. Your main duties will include:
Caseload Management: Providing expert, confidential advice on rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes.
Health Surveillance & Screening: Facilitate and conduct vital health surveillance assessments, including audiometry, spirometry, and HAVS testing using specialist equipment.
Policy & Strategy Lead: Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health policies to ensure full compliance with current H&S legislation and GDPR guidelines.
Partner & Coordinate: Coordinate external 3rd party specialists (such as Occupational Health Physician and Physiotherapists) and liaise with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as required.
Promote Wellbeing: Drive health education campaigns, lifestyle initiatives, and wellness events to foster a healthy, safe working culture across all sites.
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need a practical, "can-do" approach, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the following credentials:
Qualifications: A Nursing Degree with active NMC Registration and a post-registration qualification in Occupational Health.
Clinical Skills: Proven training and qualification to conduct technical health surveillance (spirometry, audiometry and HAVS testing).
Experience: Robust experience managing occupational health within a medium-to-large, diverse organisation.
Compliance Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of H&S practices, medical report writing, GDPR, and the Equality Act 2010.
Drive & Autonomy: The ability to work independently, manage a dynamic workload, and make confident clinical judgements.
