Occupational Health Advisor

Occupational Health Nurse | West Yorkshire | Up to £50,000

Are you an experienced Occupational Health Nurse looking to take full ownership of a proactive OH service? Our client is seeking a confident, autonomous practitioner to drive health, wellbeing, and safety across their fast-paced production site.

The Role Reporting directly to the HR Manager and Managing Director, you will lead the site’s occupational health strategy. This is a fully on-site, 5-day-a-week position where you will work closely with HR, H&S, and operational teams to protect and support a large manufacturing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health Surveillance: Deliver robust programmes including audiometry, spirometry, fitness-for-work assessments, pre-placement medicals, and statutory testing.

  • Case Management: Lead sickness absence management, return-to-work plans, and employee injury/illness referrals.

  • Proactive Wellbeing: Develop health promotion initiatives, monitor workplace hazards alongside H&S, and manage site First Aiders and training.

  • Governance & Reporting: Maintain accurate accident/injury records, manage drug and alcohol testing, and provide key OH statistics for management review.

What You’ll Need

  • Current NMC registration (Essential).

  • Recognised Occupational Health qualification or demonstrable OH experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or food production setting.

  • Proven expertise in full-spectrum health surveillance and complex case management.

  • Confidence working autonomously in a chilled manufacturing/factory environment.

  • Full UK driving licence.
