About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Health Governance and Quality Manager to lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive governance framework within a large, multi-site organisation.

This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of a safe, high-quality and effective Occupational Health service. The successful candidate will manage governance processes and lead a structured programme of audits across Occupational Health activities, ensuring compliance with professional standards and driving continuous improvement.

 

About the Team

The Occupational Health team supports the health, safety and wellbeing of employees across a national network of service centres. The team is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality Occupational Health provision through robust governance, quality assurance and evidence-based improvement initiatives.

Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the team manages a comprehensive governance framework and audit programme to assess compliance, identify risks and implement sustainable improvements.

Compliance with recognised standards, requirements is central to maintaining a culture of quality, safety and accountability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and management of the Occupational Health governance framework
  • Coordinate and deliver a structured audit programme across Occupational Health services
  • Analyse audit findings and produce detailed reports for senior stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and external accreditation standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and clinical outcomes
  • Maintain processes that support ongoing accreditation and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with senior Occupational Health leaders to optimise service delivery and customer satisfaction

 

About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Occupational Health professional with strong governance and quality management expertise. You will have a proven ability to interpret audit data, identify opportunities for improvement and influence stakeholders to implement meaningful change.

Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills are essential, alongside the ability to present complex findings clearly and confidently.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC Register
  • Occupational Health qualification (Certificate, Diploma or Degree), which may be recorded on Part 3 of the NMC Register – Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN)
  • Significant experience working in Occupational Health within a large, multi-disciplinary organisation
  • Experience in governance, audit and quality management frameworks
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, legislation and industry standards
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong communication, influencing and organisational abilities
